Privacy
Shipdeck runs on your Mac. It has no server, no account and no analytics. This page lists everything it stores and everything it sends. Shipdeck works with Claude Code only; it doesn't use any other AI service.
What stays on your Mac
- Your portfolio (products, components, repos, links) and the activity log, in
~/Library/Application Support/Shipdeck. - App Store Connect keys, in your login keychain. Shipdeck only sends requests signed with them to Apple.
- Product icons, copied from your repos or the App Store.
What Claude Code reads
When you add or sync a product, Shipdeck runs Claude Code on your Mac with your own Claude account. Claude reads the repo's files and sends them to Anthropic, as any Claude Code session does. Shipdeck runs it read-only, without a shell, and blocks files ignored by git and common secret files (.env, signing keys, keystores) from it. Claude Code sessions you open in Shipdeck work as they do in Terminal.
What Shipdeck asks the internet
- Apple's public App Store lookup, for each app's live version and rating.
- App Store Connect, if you add a key: versions, builds, TestFlight, reviews and App IDs, and the changes you confirm.
- The update feed on GitHub, once a day, to offer new versions of Shipdeck.
- Your apps' own update feeds and websites, for their versions and icons.
- The production addresses and links you give your products (websites, web apps, backends, privacy, terms and support pages), every 30 minutes, to check they are live. Only those addresses are opened, and nothing is sent with them.
Feedback
Help › Send Feedback opens a GitHub issue with your Shipdeck and macOS versions filled in. Nothing is sent until you submit it, and issues are public.
